IAP Ajayan Projects, the managers of Asian Town, have organized second ‘Weekend Festival’ at Plaza Mall in Asian Town on last Friday, 20th Jan 2017. This week ‘Bangara Dance’ was the main art form on stage and it attracted many viewers from the beginning to the end. ‘Bangara’ is a lively form of music and dance that originated in India.

The live music and dance enthralled thousands of viewers gathered at the event. The organizers have given a chance for some among the audience to showcase their talents on stage. Many talented singers among the workers community also sang on the stage. Some among them danced on the floor with the artists. Started from 5.30 pm the show ended up at 8 pm.


This is a new initiative from Ibn Ajayan Projects to entertain the visitors of Asian Town especially those who visits Plaza Mall. The entry to the event venue was free for the public.

While the entertainment events in Asian Town is intended for all the visitors of Asian Town from all over Doha, it is mainly enjoyed by the thousands of workers living in the Labor City accommodations as well as the whole industrial area . It is a relaxation for them after a week-long hard work.
